Responsibilities
Summary: The intern will assist with a wide range of duties, including analyzing data, preparing financial reports, and learning about varied accounting activities. This is an exciting opportunity for any student pursuing a career in finance to apply their knowledge to real-world financial modeling, analysis, and reporting with our experienced finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of insurance renewal underwriter presentations
- Participate in insurance renewal meetings with brokers & underwriters
- Review and update property characteristics and risk engineering data for company location records in Riskonnect
- Review and update company Risk Management manuals
- Present recommendations to the Risk Management team on technology and process improvements to department operations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirement:
- Insurance & Risk Management major
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Basic understanding of insurance and risk management principles
- Ability to multitask
- Attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated with a desire to learn
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be willing to work in the CHQ office Monday through Friday during regular business hours and in emergencies as needed
