This is a non-supervisory position reporting to the Manager of IT Finance. The position requires analyzing financial data related to IT costs, supporting the development of Computer Forward Pricing rates, development and ongoing management of the yearly IT Operating Plan, and assisting the generation and oversight of the IT Indirect budget plan. Job tasks include monthly budget and variance analysis, resolving IT cost issues, supporting yearly Sarbanes Oxley IT Controls audits, and supporting management of IT Outsourcing vendors. This position involves interface with all levels of management; good written and verbal communication skills are required. This is an on-site position located in Groton, CT.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to analyze and draw meaningful conclusions and forecasts from large sets of data
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Excellent critical thinking skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills are to successfully interact with all levels of management
- Experience supporting government contracts or working in a compliance- driven environment
- Proficiency with computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
- Demonstrated agility in dynamic and evolving environments requiring a shift in priorities
- Strong commitment to meet deadlines and complete all assigned tasks
- The ability to maintain strict confidentiality working with sensitive information
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Mathematics
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience analyzing financial data
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
Preferred:
- Knowledge and familiarity with EB IT financial reporting and IT cost allocation methodologies
- Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Knowledge or willingness to learn other software such as IBM mainframe, Access, Power BI, ORACLE
- Proficiency with Excel (including functions, pivot tables, charts, and macros), as well as PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Detail oriented
- Aptitude for problem resolution
