Role Overview
D408 is hiring an entry level Engineer to support maintenance planning work on VIRGINIA Class new construction and delivered ship Programs. In this role, you will develop and maintain ship's maintenance requirements, as well as perform maintenance analysis. This will require collaboration with other departments within the company as well as our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce internal cost estimates and schedule
- Conduct presentations with internal teams and customers
- Interface with multi-discipline design teams, all engineering departments and various Navy organizations in the pursuit of task objectives
- Conduct technical research
- Develop, review and issue technical documents
Required
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
- 0-5 years of post-graduate engineering experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Preferred
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Structural, Marine, Electrical or Aerospace Systems engineering
- Engineering intern or co-op experience in commercial or defense industries
- Prior Navy experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
