Overview
The Administrative Aide will support D442 (C4ISR Systems Integration and Engineering) Managers and staff. In addition, this A/A will provide overflow support to other Combat Weapons Systems (CWS) departments on an ad hoc basis.
Duties include all general office administrative support with emphasis on volume word processing including preparation of pdf format digital copies for archive and distribution.
General duties include maintaining department files and digital records including reproduction and distribution of documents; scheduling conference rooms, VTCs and projectors; supporting inventory and ordering of office supplies; responding to service needs of department copiers and office equipment; and arranging visitor badging and hospitality for major reviews. Once selected, the candidate will be expected to share office responsibilities with other department Administrative Aides. Also, candidate will be responsible for arranging travel, reservations and preparation of expense reports. Candidates will be expected to accept assignments directly from department staff relying on supervision only to provide prioritization of conflicting needs.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- 7 years in an administrative position in an office setting
- Experience using MS Office Suite
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance through the Department of Defense
Preferred:
- Proficient in typing
- A demonstrated ability to concurrently complete multiple assignments
Skills
- Experience preparing spreadsheets and presentations.
- Must be able to use MS Office Suite in a production environment including a thorough knowledge of MS Word functions, a working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and MS Excel and the ability to prepare pdf format files directly from desktop applications.
- Expertise in advanced Word functions such as creating and using Templates and HTML linking.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate timely, error-free, word processing production.
