What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler (Grades 4 - 6) - All Shifts position at General Dynamics - Bath Iron Works?
Pay range for this position is $33.22/hr - $34.49/hr.
This is a mid-level position to work as a Material Handler. Applicants may be assigned any Material Handler Trade tasks, but will initially be assigned to operate equipment including (but not limited to) receive/issue material at Warehouses and Facilities, maintain accurate inventory, operate fork lifts, operate barcode scanners and operate hand tools (Banders, etc.)

- Previous fork-lift experience required with the ability to demonstrate proficiency at time of interview.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous forklift experience with demonstrated proficiency required.
- More than 1 year of warehousing experience preferred.
- Previous BIW Material Handling experience or familiarity with BIW material Handling process preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills and use of barcode scanners.
- Must meet the requirements of the Material Handler physical task analysis, to include climbing stairs/ladders and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
