Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining boiler plant, air compressors, breathing air compressors, dryers/purifiers, and adiabatic cooling towers.
They will provide support to piping services, including piping installations, welding, troubleshooting, and repair of yard water, sewer, steam condensate, and plumbing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate boiler plant and air compressors
- Maintain boiler plant, air compressors, and associated equipment
- Support piping services, including piping installations, welding, and repairs
Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- State of Maine boiler operator's license (Grade C) - Required
- 4th Class Grade B, 3rd Class Grade A, 2nd Class Grade AA licenses (Required)
Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in industrial/commercial plumbing, pipefitting, boiler operation, waste disposal, and potable water systems
- Familiarity with IBC codes
- Ability to work with steam, condensate, water, and sewer systems
- Knowledge of steam distribution and condensate recovery systems
- Working knowledge and experience with gas/oil fired boilers, air compressors, and air dryers
Licenses/Certifications:
- Maine State plumbing license (Preferred)
