Job description/About the Role: Dr. Jeremy Archibald DDS, in Gresham, OR is looking for a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced dentist and a tenured team in a rewarding patient centric clinical environment where your expertise truly makes a difference for patients every day.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentist during dental procedures including restorative procedures, tooth extractions, root canal treatment, removable prosthetics, diagnostic procedures and educating and improve patient's oral health.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and operatory rooms prior to procedures. Help maintain equipment, dental water line testing, and spore test monitoring.
- Monitor and support patients throughout the procedure
- Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist
- Document patient records, treatment notes, vital signs and medical histories accurately in practice management software (Dentrix Practice Managment Software)
- Educate patients and communicate with adminstrative team members to help patients schedule for needed treatment.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control standards
Requirements:
- Six months of dental assisting experience preferred, but new graduates also encouraged to apply.
- EFDA certification is prioritized
- Dentrix compentancy preferred
- Current Oregon Dental Assistant registration or eligibility to obtain
- Radiology certification per Oregon state requirements
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Strong attention to detail, with good time managment and organizational skills is a priority.
- Excellent patient communication skills and a compassionate chairside manner
- Cohesive, friendly personality with ability to communicate needs

7:00am to 4:00pm Monday, Tuesday
8:00am to 5:00pm Wednesday, Thursday
Hour lunch break scheduled
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34.0 – 36.0 per week
