Construction Estimator / Project Manager

A growing Las Vegas construction company is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator / Project Manager to take ownership of estimating and help manage awarded projects from preconstruction through closeout.

We perform commercial and residential work and bid projects as both a general contractor and a specialty subcontractor. This is not a takeoff-only or entry-level role. We need someone who can prepare complete estimates, identify scope gaps and risk, develop clear proposals, and convert awarded work into organized project plans.

This person will work directly with company ownership and field leadership, help strengthen and scale our estimating and project-management processes, and grow into an integral member of the leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the bid calendar and estimating pipeline.
• Review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid requirements.
• Prepare commercial and residential estimates for general contractor and subcontractor opportunities.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, overhead, and profit pricing.
• Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Identify missing scope, exclusions, conflicts, long-lead items, and project risks.
• Prepare proposals, budgets, inclusions, exclusions, allowances, and clarifications.
• Develop project schedules, procurement plans, and material requirements.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, project costs, and documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and field leadership.
• Help develop scalable estimating, project handoff, cost-control, and project-management systems to support company growth.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of construction estimating and/or project-management experience preferred.
• Ability to independently prepare complete estimates from plans, specifications, and field information.
• Experience bidding commercial or residential projects as a general contractor, subcontractor, or both.
• Strong understanding of labor, materials, construction sequencing, budgets, and project risk.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and construction estimating or project-management software.
• Experience with JobTread, Procore, Buildertrend, or similar software is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, judgment, and follow-through.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work primarily in-office and visit Las Vegas-area jobsites as needed.

A college degree is welcomed but not required when the candidate has strong, relevant construction experience.

Compensation and Growth

Base salary of $70,000–$90,000, based on demonstrated experience and proven ability, plus a performance bonus calculated as a percentage of collected project gross profit on qualifying projects.

This position offers significant room for advancement into leadership in estimating, preconstruction, project management, or operations.

Relocation assistance is not provided. Candidates must reside in the Las Vegas area or relocate at their own expense before starting.
