Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Takes weights of material and performs simple mathematic calculations
- Operates equipment such as but not limited to granulators, fitz mills, scales, ball mills and vacuum dryers.
- Follows supervisor instructions for specific tasks in accordance with pre-determined guidelines
- Maintains files and records and answers inquiries regarding powder preparation.
- Performs routine maintenance and keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
- Responsible for tools and fixtures used in work area and performs additional duties related to the powder preparation department.
- Performs additional duties related to the powder department.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Successful candidate will have to wear a respirator.
- Must be clean shaven.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
