Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and refinishing to maintain optimal floor condition.
- Handle various cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces across commercial facilities.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including floor buffers, polishers, carpet cleaners, and other janitorial tools.
- Safely handle chemical agents used for cleaning and floor care, ensuring proper storage and disposal in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or equipment to facilitate thorough cleaning processes.
- Execute specialized floor care procedures like carpet cleaning, floor waxing, and floor refinishing to enhance surface longevity.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, supply usage, and safety compliance to support operational efficiency and environmental standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial best practices.
- Skilled in the use of various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, and carpet extractors.
- Expertise in handling floor cleaning chemicals safely and effectively for different surfaces.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely and efficiently.
