DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop communications and marketing materials by writing, editing and preparing press releases, promotion materials, articles and other key marketing documents for the Company.
- Develop a plan and schedule for communications projects to meet business objective(s).
- Monitor and report inaccuracies in publications while anticipating and coordinating crisis communications.
- Identify and prepare key opinion leaders and internal spokespeople to provide perspective and insight to the media.
- Recommend changes/updates/modifications to editorial practices and participate in making revisions to communications policy ensuring all company compliance and ethics standards are met.
- Develop material for internal distribution, including internal websites and social media.
- Initiate and coordinate all phases of graphics, photography and video projects.
- Prepare communications for internal senior staff and external representatives, agents, and consultants.
- Maintain relationships with media and advocacy organizations while acting as liaison with external media.
- May act as primary contact for internal and external sources.
- Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline, and three or more years of progressive professional experience in the marketing or communications field. Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Must have a general knowledge of marketing and communication principles and concepts along with an understanding of marketing and communications practices, techniques, and standards.
- Must be customer focused and possess: the ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity; excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills to accurately convey information to a variety of audiences; excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide employees, managers and external parties; and excellent computer skills.
- Must be able to thrive in an ambiguous, changeable and complex environment with the ability to reprioritize constantly and improvise as needed to support the customers’ needs that include senior leadership and program management.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
