We have an exciting career opportunity for an Electrical Integration Engineer working in our Electrical Engineering group in Poway, CA. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the electrical Integration of avionics module and payloads into unmanned air vehicle systems.
- Designing of cables and wire harnesses that interconnect electronic equipment within the vehicle.
- Responsible for generating system cable interconnect diagrams, point-to-point cable wiring schematics, cable lengths, routing details, and cable BOM.
- Responsible for integration tests to verify functional operation.
- Responsible for generating test fixtures and test procedures for system level test.
- Applies basic technical knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve assigned routine engineering problems.
- Familiar with applicable airworthiness and military standards.
- Develops appropriate documentation of findings and implemented solutions, and communicates results to project engineering staff.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelors or masters degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and two or more years of engineering experience with a bachelors degree. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
- Must have a general understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory with technical experience demonstrating the application of those concepts while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment and organize work assignments to meet established timetables.
- Good communication, computer, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other professionals, to produce appropriate documentation, and to present results to a limited internal audience.
- Must be able to work both independently and on a team.
- Able to work extended hours as required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required.
