What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool Crib Attendant position at General Aluminum Manufacturing Company?
Receives, stores and issues equipment, material supplies and/or tools. Responsible for compiling stock records in stockroom and/or warehouse. Follows PPE and safety requirements. Aware of company quality and environmental policy.
- Count, sort and/ or weigh incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice.
- Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
- Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves according to identifying information such as style, size or type of material.
- Fills orders or issues supplies from stock.
- Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock. Maintains inventory and other stock records.
- Distribute stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued and ensuring personnel have proper identification.
- Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments.
- Responsible for maintaining clean, organized and safe work area.
- Verify that all new products received have the required (MSDS) material safety data sheets. Forwards copy of MSDS to Safety Officer.
- Assure proper labeling of drums, totes and dispensing spray bottles per EMS and hazard communication standards.
- Aware of consequences to employee, customer and environment if procedures are not followed.
- All other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor. ·
- Required – High School diploma or GED or prior experience/training in manufacturing environment ·
- Required - Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws, polices, and rules.
- Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined by company. Must be regularly available to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. Must be available and willing to work such overtime as is necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
- Must be able to stand, bend and stoop. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift up to 15 pounds. ·
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
