Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Heat Treat Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of heat-treated metal components. This position is responsible for operating heat treat equipment, monitoring process parameters, completing documentation, and maintaining safety standards to produce precision parts that meet rigorous specifications.
Your work will directly support product quality, process reliability, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heat treat equipment including solution furnaces, aging ovens, tempering ovens, and quench systems
- Accurately set and monitor solution and age process parameters
- Raise furnace loads in both manual and automatic panel view modes
- Safely load and unload solution and age ovens
- Read and interpret furnace chart data and process documentation
- Follow heat treat work instructions and complete required production documentation
- Perform inspections using calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments
- Maintain knowledge of QA sample locations and handling procedures
- Respond appropriately to burner failures and process interruptions
- Identify and react to out-of-specification conditions
- Follow Non-Conforming Material (NCM) and containment procedures
- Operate forklifts/tow motors safely and efficiently
- Support traceability by documenting process parameters and inspection results
- Follow all plant safety procedures and PPE requirements
This position operates in a foundry/manufacturing environment with exposure to:
- High temperatures
- Elevated noise levels
- Moving equipment
- Molten metal hazards
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
