What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern Human Resources- Talent Acquisition position at Generac?
Our Talent Acquisition Intern will support our corporate and/or plant recruitment teams on site at our headquarters in Waukesha, WI. As a Talent acquisition intern you will have the opportunity to shadow recruiters, assist with sourcing and screening a variety of candidates, assist with interview scheduling, and assisting with recruitment marketing and operations. In addition to recruiting, you will also have an opportunity to gain exposure to other facets of HR, including diversity initiatives, new hire onboarding/new hire orientation, learning and development, employment and diversity branding, and much more. In addition to the above you will have the opportunity to network with other interns, participate in fun intern events, and learn a lot through this experience!

- Receive internal training on how to leverage internal recruitment systems and sourcing tools
- Learn about the full recruitment lifecycle including preparing, sourcing, screening, selecting, hiring and onboarding
- Learn about recruitment marketing and utilizing social media to attract viable talent
- You will also work closely with recruiting team members to innovate on current research strategies for talent pooling, market mapping, and competitor analysis which will allow you to make an immediate impact.
- You will learn about the Generac business groups, how talent needs are assessed, and will be a part of driving the recruiting process from the beginning to end as our talent acquisition teams work to attain critical talent.
- Gain exposure to our ongoing diversity initiatives
- Gain an understanding of the employee lifecycle from recruitment through departure
- Develop a working relationship with Generac’s HR, Recruitment and Shared Services Teams
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program with an emphasis in a business related field and/or Human Resources
- Microsoft Office experience with strong aptitude in Excel.
- Sophomore year status or higher.
- Previous systems experience.
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information
- Proficient oral and written communication and able to write clearly and succinctly to get a message across
- Conscientious self-motivated worker with an attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a group setting
- Dependable and organized
