The Generator Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical generators and related equipment. This role ensures all generator systems function efficiently and safely, meeting industry standards and regulations.
What You’ll Do
- Install, inspect, and maintain generators and associated electrical systems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and battery checks on generators
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to diagnose and resolve issues with generator systems
- Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and contractors on generator-related projects
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, documenting all service activities and parts used
- Experience with generator repairs and services, or in a similar residential/commercial role
- Experience with small engine or automotive repairs
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment commonly used in generator maintenance and repair
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
- Lifting up to 100lbs on a regular basis
- Proficiency with technology and computer systems, such as Service Fusion
