This is an onsite, in-office position at Geneoscopy HQ in St. Louis, Missouri.
The Laboratory Aide will support daily laboratory operations in a CAP/CLIA-certified diagnostic laboratory. Responsibilities include specimen handling, general laboratory maintenance, and assisting laboratory personnel with routine tasks to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with regulatory standards.

The Laboratory Aide will support daily laboratory operations in a CAP/CLIA-certified diagnostic laboratory. Responsibilities include specimen handling, general laboratory maintenance, and assisting laboratory personnel with routine tasks to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that patient samples are received and accessioned according to Geneoscopy's laboratory.
- Provide general laboratory support such as tube labeling, equipment cleaning and maintenance, biohazard waste removal, and consumables stocking.
- Identify problems that may adversely affect the proper processing of samples and notify the General Supervisor, Technical Supervisor, or Laboratory Director.
- Monitor inventory levels and restock laboratory supplies as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory compliance, including HIPAA, CAP, CLIA, and OSHA standards.
- Operate basic laboratory equipment and assist in calibration and maintenance under supervision.
- Document and maintain accurate records of laboratory activities and quality control logs.
- Follow laboratory quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with established protocols.
- Participate in required training programs to stay updated on laboratory policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.

- Preferred Additional Experience:
- Prior experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory.
- Familiarity with CAP and CLIA regulatory requirements.
