The QA/QC Field Inspector 1 ensures the proper installation of electrical and mechanical systems in industrial and commercial facilities. This role involves inspecting installations for compliance with NEC, ASHRAE, OEM specifications, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, technical knowledge, and effective communication skills to support commissioning quality standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Inspection and Documentation
- Inspect installed equipment for conformance with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
- Review electrical and mechanical design drawings to develop inspection documents.
- Prepare and maintain accurate inspection and quality control reports.
- Attend project planning meetings and provide input on QA/QC procedures.
- Review equipment submittals to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Communicate quality findings and status updates with customers, peers, and management.
- Support the project team in maintaining compliance with company policies and standards.
- Perform other QA/QC-related tasks as required to meet evolving project needs.
Attributes/Abilities:
- Must have a satisfactory background/MVR check.
- Must pass a pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and/or random drug test.
- Must have reliable transportation and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Certificate or diploma from a trade or technical school (Electrical/Mechanical).
- 1–3 years of relevant QA/QC experience in industrial/commercial environments.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk, stand, climb, pull, push, sit, and work in a cramped or confined space.
- Potential low exposure to various conditions, including dirt, heat, fumes, smoke, water, noise, vibration, grease, oil, and dust.
- Ability and willingness to work occasional overtime as needed.
