We are hiring for a Multi Tasking Superstar Dispatcher who is not afraid to take charge!Job duties include: Promptly answers incoming calls from customers in need of servicesAsking basic questions of Customers related to current needsRemains friendly and approachable with CustomersEfficiently dispatches multiple different Classes of trucksMulti-task using multiple computer screens while using radio and answering phone lines simultaneouslyQuickly make sense out of convoluted dataAccurately tracks all calls from initiation through completionCoordinates service and schedules of driversMonitors location of Drivers and trucksAnswers multiple phone linesPrioritize calls in order to schedule and dispatch Drivers and appropriate trucksEntering call data accurately and clearly into towing software programDetermines the response needed for all dispatching situationsRecords, coordinates and accurately relays information of all calls and dispatchesCommunicates effectively with drivers to ensure they are responding to the correct location and statusContacts customers to collect payments.Performs other duties as assigned by managementFull time and part time Swing/Graveyard/Weekends (able to work all shifts on occasion, and weekends if needed)Experience:High School Diploma or GED1 year experience in dispatching, data entry and recordkeeping1 year of Call Center/Telemarketing experience1 year of Customer Service experience in a fast paced environmentFamiliar with Pierce, King and Thurston County geographic areasKeyboarding and Computer Experience in Windows based programsSkills Required:Communicate on a daily basis with public and law enforcement with courtesy, discretion and sound judgmentProblem solvingAble to pass a Federal drug testAble to pass a criminal background checkBenefits:Paid holidays401KVacation and sick leaveEmployer paid Medical (for employee) Dental & VisionStarting wage $18-$20 (DOE) per hour.Gene's Towing is a smoke/vape free company Company DescriptionGenes Towing is a family owned towing company with over a half century tradition of serving customers in Pierce County and Lakewood, Washington with premier roadside support.
