Gencor is the leading manufacturer of asphalt plants, soil remediation plants, combustion systems and heat transfer systems to the road and highway construction industry. Specifically looking for a Parts Manager in this industry with heavy equipment parts experience. MUST be in the Orlando, FL (or within a 50 mile radius) area.


Role Description

Responsible for leading all aspects of heavy equipment parts. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing an inside sales team, including oversight of telephone and online sales promotion, as well as telephone and internet order processing for aftermarket parts. The primary objective of this role is to drive growth in heavy equipment parts and aftermarket sales through the development and execution of a comprehensive business growth plan. This plan should include thorough market and territory analysis, along with evaluation and identification of appropriate support staff, training requirements, and departmental systems needed to achieve sustained sales expansion.


Responsibilities


  • Develop Business Growth Plan - including territory and process analysis
  • Effectively supervise and manage your team
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the current Parts Program and implement marketing and promotion tools and programs to achieve maximum effect and growth of sales
  • Learn the basics of company products, services, and solutions, and become knowledgeable of competitive products
  • Recommend products and services based on customer's account profile
  • Maintain a customer database and Parts cataloguing database
  • Co-ordinate the development of monthly forecasts
  • Establish and implement Sales databases to track sales performance
  • Perform functions regarding tracking of all Parts sales orders through manufacturing and shipping
  • Track manufacturing stock levels and set goals for availability
  • Work with Parts staff to identify sales growth opportunities
  • Conduct effective staff training requirements and implement necessary corrective actions
  • Conduct regular Customer Satisfaction surveys
  • Conduct sales Representative coaching through customer visits
  • Track progress of growth and corrective actions
  • Coordinate with management in the development of key performance goals for the growth of the parts business
  • Work with management in strategic parts planning
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as requested


Qualifications


  • 4 year college degree in Engineering or Business Management
  • Must have 5 years minimum demonstrable industry experience in managing an inside sales or parts organization
  • Must have experience in working with companies with a 5M or more in annual sales
  • Experience in planning and budgeting; purchasing; warehousing; or inventory control a plus
  • Candidate should be computer literate in Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint


Physical Requirements


  • Must be able to lift objects up to 5 – 10 pounds periodically
  • Needs to use hands for tasks like using computers, and handling paperwork.
  • Exposed to varying temperatures, weather conditions, and potentially noisy or hazardous environments with chemicals or moving parts when walking to the other buildings.
