Duration: Up to 5 Years (Base Period: Nov 2026 – Sept 2027, plus 4 Option Years)
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator (SME) to provide high-level enterprise database support, maintenance, and development for backend government systems across on-premises and cloud environments. You will manage stand-alone and complex Oracle environments, lead troubleshooting, execute disaster recovery protocols, and maintain operational health.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, configure, patch, and support Oracle Database, Oracle Grid, and Oracle RMAN environments.
- Execute daily operational monitoring, error triage, capacity planning, and performance tuning using tools like SolarWinds and Idera.
- Manage maintenance changes (RFCs) and resolve incident/service request tickets in ServiceNow adhering to SLAs.
- Design, test, and maintain High Availability (HA) systems and Disaster Recovery (DR) procedures.
- Support application integrations, databases, and secondary database tools (PL/SQL, MS Access, PostgreSQL, MySQL) as needed.
- Provide weekly support activity logs and participate in periodically scheduled after-hours maintenance/patching.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of progressive Oracle DBA experience.
- Core Technical Expertise: Oracle Database, Oracle Grid, Oracle RMAN, PL/SQL, HA/DR, and Cloud/OCI environments.
- Tools: ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Idera.
- Certifications: Professional Oracle certifications (OCA/OCP/OCM) strongly recommended.
- Security & Equipment: Work is UNCLASSIFIED/CONFIDENTIAL. Government Laptop and RSA security tokens will be provided
