About The Role
The Senior Applied AI / Intelligent Automation Lead owns the strategy, governance, and execution of AI solutions that reduce manual work, improve decision quality, and create measurable business value across the CFO organization, including Go to Market Sales, Supply Chain Operations, FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Internal Audit, and Data & Analytics.
They translate prioritized business problems and manual processes into scalable, production‑ready AI agents and workflows, lead a cross‑functional enablement program (council, champions network, training, and communications), and drive adoption, performance monitoring, and executive‑level reporting on outcomes and insights.
This role combines strong applied AI fluency with program leadership, strategic thinking, change management, and governance to drive adoption and build repeatable structure across the CFO organization.
Key Responsibilities
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
Experience: 10 years leading cross-functional AI, analytics, or automation programs from problem definition through implementation and scale.
Proven delivery of AI/ML/LLM solutions in production (e.g., AI agents, forecasting, recommendations, workflow automation) with clear, measurable business impact.
Strong background in AI governance, change management, and adoption, including human-in-the-loop controls, risk guardrails, and training/communications that embed AI into day-to-day workflows.
Skills
The annual base salary for this position is expected to be between $120,000 to $200,000 . Base salary is one component of Gen's total compensation package, which includes 401(k) match, health insurance options, disability coverage, life insurance, and unlimited paid time off. Actual salaries will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies related to the role.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize AI opportunities that drive incremental revenue, margin expansion, efficiency gains, risk reduction, and higher‑quality decision making across GTM Sales, Supply Chain, FP&A, Finance, and Accounting.
- Partner with finance and commercial leaders to embed AI‑driven scenario analysis, early‑warning signals, and insights into core planning and execution processes.
- Define, prioritize, and execute the AI roadmap for the CFO organization, aligned to clear business outcomes and success metrics.
- Establish and chair a CFO AI Enablement council/steering committee to prioritize use cases, align on goals, and provide ongoing oversight of AI initiatives across finance.
- Lead the delivery of AI agents and workflows that automate processes, systematize system hygiene, improve forecasting, enhance reporting, surface key insights and alerts, and support onboarding and training.
- Implement ongoing performance and reliability monitoring for AI agents and workflows, including incident management, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement loops.
- Build and lead a network of AI champions across CFO teams, including recurring AI forums (e.g., weekly calls, demos, success-story sharing) and goal‑setting with team leads to drive engagement and adoption.
- Manage a blended team of AI agent developers and CFO team members, setting priorities and removing delivery blockers.
- Partner with IT on architecture, security, and integrations across various platforms including CRM, ERP, and data platforms.
- Enforce AI governance, including human‑in‑the‑loop controls, risk guardrails, and alignment with Gen AI use, privacy, and security policies in partnership with IT, Legal, and Risk.
- Drive change management, training, and adoption so AI tools are embedded in day-to-day workflows.
- Drive consistent communications on AI initiatives with all CFO stakeholders, including updates on usage opportunities, progress, blockers, support needs, and emerging trends.
- Own the central library of AI enablement assets (templates, playbooks, best practices) and ensure resources are discoverable, current, and used in day‑to‑day workflows.
- Establish executive reporting that tracks adoption, efficiency gains, key insight enablers, and financial impact.
- Partner with internal and external experts to stay on top of major AI and automation trends that impact the organization.
