Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Accountant located in Houston, TX. The Assistant Accountant will support the finance and accounting team by managing day-to-day tasks, including maintaining financial records, processing invoices, handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. The role requires ensuring compliance with financial regulations and supporting audits as needed. The Assistant Accountant will also collaborate with team members to enhance financial processes and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting principles, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reconciliations
- Experience with financial reporting, auditing assistance, and maintaining organized financial records
- Knowledge of accounting software and tools such as QuickBooks, Excel, or similar platforms
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in financial data management
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in the real estate or property management sector is considered a plus
