Private Equity Investment Intern

INTERN POSITION

Gemspring is seeking rising Seniors (Class of 2027) ) to join our Investments Team as full-time Investment Interns for Summer 2026. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the private equity deal process, including evaluating investment opportunities, financial modeling, conducting business diligence, and supporting portfolio company value creation initiatives. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in business and investing, along with a solid understanding of fundamental valuation frameworks.

PRE-REQUISITES

• Strong Credentials: The right candidate will be on track to achieve a Bachelor’s degree and have strong standardized test (SAT/ACT/GMAT) scores
• Analytical/Technical Expertise: Strong analytical capabilities; must be a power user of Excel and PowerPoint
• Structured and Logical Thinker: The ability to dissect a problem into an organized approach and quickly form a hypothesis against which to run test analyses. Ability to present complex concepts/ideas in concise, easy-to-understand terms is key
• Communication Skills: Strong communication and prospecting skills; must be comfortable speaking on the phone
• Culture/Fit: Teamwork approach to working and motivated to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Table Tennis Skills: While table tennis skills are not a full pre-requisite, they are a bonus given the start-up environment and energetic office culture.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate selected for this position will be a creative, out-of-the-box thinker, who is intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in business. This person will also need to be a self-motivated, high-energy individual who can easily function in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. He/she must be accustomed to working on multiple tasks in parallel. This professional must demonstrate strong leadership skills, best proven by the individual’s ability to gain credibility with team members through fact-based execution and sound conclusions.
