JOB DESCRIPTION
GEMS is looking for an experienced EMT or Paramedic Full-Time to be an Onsite Medic at our client's construction site in CANTUA CREEK, CA. The positions will start immediately. Part-time and PRN positions may be available. Standard work week is 10 1/2hr days, Monday – Thursday. Current work hours 6:30am to 5:00PM and subject to change as construction schedule shifts. ***Days and hours may vary, potential weekends***. Applicants should feel comfortable working in a construction environment. First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor training will be available for a candidate not having this certification previously.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The position's responsibilities include collaborative work with the medical and operational leadership at GEMS, local medical providers, client staff, with key contacts within the client's corporate structure. The day-to-day role of GEMS Onsite Medic includes patient care, ongoing workers' compensation case management, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring. This position will work closely with outside medical providers. Administering Pre-Employment, Post Accident and Random Drug screening (Training will be provided).
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Assessing the nature and extent of workplace injuries and illnesses and to prioritize medical care according to GEMS protocols
Participate in daily operations at GEMS on-site clinic
Provide superior customer service to GEMS client and employees
Build and maintain internal team relationships
Support for onsite employee health and wellness efforts
Documentation of care using PCR and other tools
Case Management
Medical charting
Administering Pre-Employment, Post Accident and Random Drug screening (Training will be provided).
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EMT, Paramedic Certification State and/or National. Must provide proof of reciprocity
Have valid licensure for the position in which you are applying
Have current CPR/BLS
Previous EMT/Paramedic experience, 1st response experience or emergency 911 experience preferred
Current First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification
First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor training will be available for a candidate not having this certification previously.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees
Any additional EMS or Safety certifications are a plus. OSHA 10, 30, 510 or 500
