Title: Litigation Attorney (In-Office)

Salary: $90,000 - 120,000 annually, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Manage a litigation caseload from intake through resolution
• Meet with clients to evaluate potential claims and provide legal guidance
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case progress and next steps
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, settlement agreements, etc.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
• Represent clients during depositions, mediations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings
• Negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes
• Prepare cases for mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to provide exceptional client service
• Maintain organized case files while ensuring deadlines and court requirements are met

Requirements:

• A J.D. degree and an active Rhode Island Bar license
• 2 years of litigation experience in personal injury or insurance defense
• Experience using legal case management software
• Strong written and verbal advocacy skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Comfortable utilizing technology and modern legal software

Bonus Experience:

• A Massachusetts Bar license
