Role Description The Injection Molding Setup Processor is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and monitoring injection molding machines and related equipment to ensure efficient, high-quality production. This full-time, on-site role is based in Levittown, PA and involves preparing molds, installing tooling, and configuring machine parameters according to production requirements and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing start-up and changeover activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, verifying part quality, and maintaining documentation for setups and processes. The role also includes working closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to optimize cycle times, reduce scrap, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The Injection Molding Setup Processor is expected to follow all safety procedures, perform basic preventive maintenance, and help train other associates on proper setup and processing techniques.
Qualifications
- Experience in injection molding setup and processing, including mold installation, machine changeovers, and parameter optimization.
- Knowledge of plastics materials, molding processes, and basic principles of tooling, mold design, and part quality requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work instructions, and technical documentation such as part prints and setup sheets.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for equipment and process issues, with a focus on minimizing downtime and scrap.
- Understanding of ISO standards, basic quality control practices, and familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts.
