Gemini is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Team Lead I or II at our Decorah, IA location. Starting pay for this role is $23.02.
A day in the life of a Team Lead at Gemini Inc. involves:
- Leading a team to ensure daily production requirements are attained with a focus on quality, delivery, cost, and safety. Completes a variety of tasks including record keeping and reporting.
- Provides leadership, oversight, and training to team members to effectively utilize and build on talent, experience, and growth.
- Observes and evaluates work performed by employees to ensure that individual and teamwork performance is acceptable by standards set by the company.
- Coaches employees on strengths and areas for improvements. Assists employees with development areas.
- Coordinates staffing and scheduling for assigned department(s). Assists in determining need for overtime. Schedules vacations for employees.
- Has the qualifications and skills to fill in or back up in technical areas of responsibility requiring additional technical knowledge, physical demands, and/or safety sensitive positions.
- Due to the nature of a metal foundry, working conditions require the use of proper PPE to protect hearing and vision as well as the ability to physically load and unload materials.
- Reports to Plant Supervisor
