- Able to read and follow shop work instructions
- Able to lift 50lbs and use a crane as necessary
- Clearly fill out shop documentations
- Work in a very hot environment
Job Summary
Prepare work pieces for the Heat Treat and nitride process. Maintain control over furnaces and other devices used for the Heat Treat process. Maintain required documentation to support the Heat Treat Process.
Essential Job Functions
- Prep all work pieces to be heat treated and nitride per customer specifications
- Follow Heat Treat shop work instructions
- Test work pieces for required hardness
- Maintain all documentation as required
- Ensure that Heat Treat devices are calibrated
- Performs preventative maintenance as required by the ISO program
- Properly re-run work pieces not meeting correct hardness
- Works within boundaries of safe working habits
