Overview

GEMCO is hiring a full-time Machinist to operate manual and CNC machines to fabricate precision industrial components. We're seeking someone who takes pride in their work and values craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines to fabricate parts.
• Read technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Measure and inspect parts to ensure accuracy and tolerances.
• Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams.
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED
• Completion of vocational training or apprenticeship a plus.
• 3 years of machining experience
• Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines.
• Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and live in commuting distance to Middlesex, New Jersey.
