Commercial HVAC Service Technician

The Role
Our Mechanical Service team needs an experienced lead HVAC/R technician to diagnose, repair and maintain commercial and industrial equipment across Central Indiana. You’ll work with little to no direct supervision, be a go-to resource for teammates, and own the customer relationship on-site. You’ll work on:

• Boilers, chillers, steam systems and hydronic systems
• Refrigeration systems and heat pumps
• Air handlers, rooftop units, VAV units, makeup air units and exhaust fans
• Temperature controls and humidifiers
• Paint booths and kitchen equipment

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot and repair advanced HVAC/R performance and efficiency issues
• Perform preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial systems
• Get vendor pricing on parts and help prepare quotes
• Submit work orders and enter accurate equipment, site, material and customer data in our Service Field App
• Communicate professionally with customers, Dispatch and Service Support
• Help teammates diagnose and repair issues in person or remotely
• Take part in the after-hours emergency on-call rotation

What You Bring

• 5 years of service, diagnostics and repair experience on commercial and/or industrial HVAC/R equipment
• EPA Type II/III refrigeration certification (Universal preferred)
• Strong customer service and communication skills, both spoken and written
• Attention to safety, good organization and pride in quality work
• Your own basic hand tools, meters and refrigeration gauges
• A valid, unsuspended driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
• The ability to lift 50 lbs, climb tall ladders, and work on roofs, scaffolding and lifts in all weather
