Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Portfolio Management:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy to drive sales growth and profitability, aligned with business objectives and market trends.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform product decisions, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Manage product life cycles, including product introductions, phase-outs, and substitutions, to optimize product offerings and minimize waste.
- Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and programs.
- Develop and execute vendor management strategies to optimize product offerings, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with vendors to develop new products, promotions, and marketing initiatives, and to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute account plans, sales forecasts, and sales strategies.
- Market Analysis and Intelligence:
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
- Provide market insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.
- Marketing and Merchandising:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies to optimize product displays, promotions, and pricing.
- Inventory Management:
- Analyze and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stocking levels and minimize stockouts.
- Develop and execute inventory management strategies to optimize inventory turnover and profitability.
- Performance Management:
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance.
- Analyze and report on business performance to inform strategic decisions.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in the HVAC industry, preferably in a product management or sales role.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Experience with inventory management, pricing, and sales strategy.
- Familiarity with HVAC industry trends, products, and technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new software systems.
- Certifications: Industry certifications, such as NATE or R-410A, are a plus.
