GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a Program Manager to join our team. This position is full-time and will serve the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s & 10 years relaevant experience in managing programs, projects, contracts, funds, and resources.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex programs and projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with budgets and schedules.
- Knowledge of DOE and Federal Programs.
Clearance Level Required:
Uncleared - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Clearance

Overview:
- Implement sound program management principles.
- Lead programs/projects according to DOE requirements and regulations through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans.
- Utilize input from senior managers, program managers, and plan staff to assist in the development of multi-year programs/projects.
- Manage efforts with strong attention to detail to ensure project progress is within schedule, cost, technical, environmental, and legal baselines.
- If necessary, negotiate program priorities with regulatory agencies and obtain approval of regulatory documents, innovative technology, and remedial actions.
- Performs complex evaluations of existing procedures, processes, techniques, models, and/or systems relating to management problems or contractual issues that require reports and recommended solutions.
- Supervises and directs staff on a daily basis.
- Duties may include contract management, relevant project management, and customer interface.
- Initiate and deliver concise and accurate oral and written presentations to internal and external customers on status, changes, and alternative approaches.
- Ensure timely submittal of all required progress and status reports.
- Communicate in a clear, respectful manner with team and management.
- Collaborate and share with other team members to promote knowledge transfer.
- Assist in the coordinated planning, management, and execution of multiple related projects and ensure that other Program Managers are collaborating across organizations.
- Provide effective program management, and development in identifying, assessing, developing and supporting new missions.
- Establishes broadly focused, high dollar programs resulting in multiple projects per program.
- Develop roadmaps for large multidisciplinary program implementation involving national and international teams and advance technology leveraged initiatives in alignment with SRNL and DOE missions.
Clearance & Citizenship Requirement:
- To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
- Due to the nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.

The DOE's Savannah River National Laboratory, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is the applied research and development laboratory at the Savannah River Site (SRS) and serves the DOE and the nation by providing innovative solutions across the country and around the world. As the Environmental Management national laboratory, SRNL has prime responsibility for ensuring DOE’s commitment to provide the scientific and technical rigor and innovation needed to mitigate the environmental risk associated with legacy nuclear waste with reduced cost and shortened cleanup schedules. Salary : $84,300 - $107,000
