Behavioral Specialist (Interventionist)
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated professional to join our care team. You will be working with youth and young adults, at our Day Program in Meridian.
*This is not a seasonal or fill-gap position.
Position Details
- Center Open: Monday-Friday from 8 am - 6 pm
- Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
- Compensation: $3,466.67 per month
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective behavior intervention strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and promote positive outcomes using evidence-based practices such as positive reinforcement.
- Create, implement, and maintain individualized behavior support plans tailored to each participant’s needs.
- Conduct ongoing assessments, track progress, and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Engage, support, and mentor youth with a range of intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a respectful and empowering manner.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent and high-quality care.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- The ability to implement effective intervention strategies.
- Proficiency in, or the ability to quickly learn, typing, file organization, and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a background check.
