Position Summary
The Assistant Principal provides instructional leadership, coaching, and support to ensure high-quality teaching and learning. They supervise and mentor staff, oversee curriculum and student services, maintain a safe and nurturing school environment, and inspire students to achieve their full potential. Assistant Principals collaborate with faculty and staff, contribute to school culture, and participate in school-wide initiatives to maximize student success.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership
Lead and support the elementary or secondary program to ensure high academic standards
Coach, mentor, and evaluate faculty to improve instructional effectiveness
Utilize data to guide academic decisions and interventions
Coordinate and lead professional development
School Culture & Environment
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Build strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the community
Foster a positive school culture that maximizes learning time and student engagement
Administrative Duties
Oversee curriculum, student services, and learning opportunities
Manage scheduling, compliance, and operational responsibilities
Contribute to school events, recruitment, and marketing initiatives

Qualifications
MA, EdD, or PhD in School Administration (or actively pursuing)
Valid Idaho School Administrator Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Demonstrated success in improving student achievement through data
Evidence of strong academic, leadership, and organizational performance
Proficiency with PowerSchool
Familiarity with Canvas
