Summary
This position is responsible for safely storing, moving, and managing materials within the warehouse and yard to support efficient production and shipping operations. The Warehouse Material Handler ensures accurate inventory control by maintaining bin counts, returning unused materials to designated storage locations, and assisting with inventory counts. This role supports receiving and shipping activities by helping unload and load trucks and overseas containers, verifying materials, and ensuring proper storage to prevent damage. The position also operates forklift, overhead crane, boom and other material handling equipment while following all safety protocols and maintains a clean, organized warehouse and yard environment to promote efficiency and workplace safety. Additionally, this role also involves removing and properly discarding outdated materials that are no longer required.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and move materials within the warehouse and yard to ensure accurate storage and efficient workflow.
- Maintain accurate bin accounts and assist with inventory tracking and reconciliation.
- Report any visible product shortages, discrepancies, or damaged materials to the supervisor immediately.
- Assist with unloading incoming trucks and overseas containers and loading outbound shipments as needed.
- Return unused materials from Production and Packaging areas to designated storage locations.
- Operate forklift, overhead crane, boom, pallet jack, and other material handling equipment safely, using the correct attachments and following all safety procedures.
- Ensure all materials and products are stored properly to minimize damage, spilled, loss, or contamination.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse, yard, and work area in accordance with safety and operational standards.
- Assist with quarterly inventory accounts and other inventory control activities.
- Identify and discard outdated or obsolete materials properly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and inventory tracking.
- Basic reading and writing skills to understand work instructions, safety procedures, and shipping documents.
- Forklift, overhead crane, or boom certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
Skills Requirement
- Ability to safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment.

Experience
- 0-2 years of experience in warehousing operations, material handling, or manufacturing environments.
- Previous experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment preferred.
- Experience with inventory control, bin counts, or stock management preferred.
- Experience loading and unloading trucks or shipping containers preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse and yard safety practices and procedures preferred.
- Experience working with warehouse and yard management systems or basic inventory software is a plus.
