Sales Trainee

Gem City/CED's Sales Trainee position develops you into a sales position with potential for inside sales, quotations, project management, or outside sales functions. CED is a growing, nationwide company with over 800 locations. We are expanding our business in many locations and offer an incredible way to begin your career or transition into a new sales role.

This entry-level position in sales allows the successful candidate to learn the electrical wholesale business through experiencing every aspect of one of our “profit center” business units. This position has upward mobility and an opportunity to make a tangible impact on a growing business. During a 12-18 month paid training period, you will learn the skills you need to greatly contribute to a growing business and take on increasing responsibility mainly focused on sales functions.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Inside Sales
• Customer Service
• Developing Product Knowledge
• Inventory Management
• Project Management/Quotations
• Warehouse Operations
• Purchasing
• Accounting Operations
• Digital Initiatives (Customer Portal Maintenance, Mobile App, etc.)

Qualities of a Successful Candidate:

• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal/written)
• Willingness to take on a variety of tasks
• Entrepreneurial minded
• Desire to grow sales and maximize profitability
• Comfortable in a warehouse setting
• Strong leadership

Typical Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Hiring Location: Quincy, IL

Expected hourly pay rate: 23-26/hr
