Operations Manager

Gelt is a tech-driven tax services company providing premium tax solutions for closely-held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and investors. Our mission is to optimize our clients’ taxes and ensure compliance by utilizing our proprietary tax platform and team of expert in-house professionals.

In this role you will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of internal operations and enablement, focused on our tax/CPA team. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Develop and execute the internal service enablement strategy for the Tax/CPA organization, including onboarding, professional development, process documentation, and performance management.
• Design and build scalable processes and frameworks that support team growth and excellence in delivery (including workflows, quality control, internal operations metrics, knowledge management).
• Lead cross-functional operational projects, including structural redesigns, team integrations from acquisitions/M&A, and system/tool roll-outs to enable best-in-class performance.
• Monitor, analyze and report on internal team performance, identify root-cause issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Foster a high-quality internal culture of enablement, development, and operational excellence for the tax/CPA team.

• Significant experience (typically 8 years) in operations, enablement, process design, or organizational development, ideally within a professional services or tech environment.
• Proven track record of building or scaling operations functions (e.g., onboarding, training, process frameworks, integrations).
• Strong project leadership experience, including complex organizational projects (e.g. M&A or major structural/process changes).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work across teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive change.
• Hands on - an ability to go beyond process design and lead implementation.
• Comfort in a fast-paced, evolving environment where building from the ground up is expected.
• Experience in finance/fintech is a plus, in tax - a big plus.
• CPA, EA or CMA certification is a plus.
