You will be first in line to make a great impression on our customers and ensure a positive customer service experience. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Assist customers with fresh deli items from our gourmet salads case, prepared hot foods case, slicing and packaging of all meats and cheeses and prepared items such as custom made sandwiches. You will use an electric slicer to slice fresh meats and cheeses. Prepare and package items for sale in pre-packed areas including sandwiches, salads, and side dishes. Support the department staff, ensuring a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide excellent customer service, and resourceful assistance and respond appropriately in all customer interactions. Monitor product quality, freshness, presentation, and ensure proper rotation of merchandise in accordance with store policy. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations. Embrace new challenges and be a flexible team player, taking on responsibilities as needed. Other duties and responsibilities as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a grocery retail setting a plus. Ability to use industrial slicers. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be at least 18 years of age.
