You will be responsible for maintenance throughout the store to ensure the premises and fixtures are kept clean and sanitary and that the store is presentable in order to provide a positive working environment for employees and an excellent shopping experience for customers. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries, locating items, and resolving any customer concerns. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including all plumbing fixtures; replenish paper and soap supplies in all restrooms as required. Empty all trash containers and dispose of rubbish according to company policy. Clean, sweep, scrub, strip, wash and buff floors in sales areas and other areas as required. Clean and maintain employee breakroom and lunch areas. Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy. Employ the company HAZCOM program when necessary. Use proper safeguards to alert customers and employees of potential hazards such as wet or slippery floor surfaces. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations. Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe working environment. Embrace new challenges and be a flexible team player, taking on responsibilities as needed. Other duties and responsibilities as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in a grocery retail setting preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Knowledge of grocery products, merchandising techniques, and inventory management Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Physical requirements: Continuous hand manipulation including, grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation Reaching above and at shoulder level frequently Standing, walking, bending up to 8 hours per day Walking on uneven surfaces Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
