This position offers the rare opportunity to work directly alongside an experienced advisory team, gaining exposure to every aspect of a successful wealth management practice—from operations and client service to sales, financial planning, and business development. Work directly with a nationally recognized advisor who has built a practice managing approximately $700 million in client assets. You'll gain firsthand experience in how a successful wealth management business is built and operated while developing skills that can accelerate your own career.
Responsibilities
This is a hybrid role combining client relationship management, business development, and operational support. This position is an in-office position, in Melville, New York and the candidate must have their own transportation to the office and should live within 1 hour of Melville.
Responsibilities include:
Client Service & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with existing clients
- Deliver exceptional white-glove customer service
- Schedule and prepare for client meetings
- Assist advisors with client communications and follow-up
- Coordinate paperwork and account servicing
- Help ensure every client receives an outstanding experience
Business Development
- Participate in client acquisition initiatives
- Identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships
- Assist with seminar and marketing follow-up
- Help generate referrals and new business opportunities
- Develop sales skills while working directly with experienced advisors
- Opportunity to earn bonuses tied to business growth and production
Operations
- Support the day-to-day operation of a fast-growing advisory practice
- Utilize CRM software, Microsoft Office, AI tools, and other technology to improve efficiency
- Manage projects and workflows
- Coordinate with custodians and outside professionals
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Help improve office systems and client processes
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience in financial services
- Sales experience required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Self-starter with strong work ethic
- Comfortable speaking with clients by phone and in person
- Strong technology skills (Microsoft Office, CRM systems, AI tools)
- Detail-oriented with high professional standards
Preferred
- Series 7, SIE, Series 66/63 or willingness to obtain
- Banking, brokerage, insurance, or wealth management experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Economics or related field
