Daytime Gelato Associate

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Gelato & Café Associate to join our team full-time. This is a long-term position (not seasonal) for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. As the face of our Gelateria, you will help create a welcoming experience while performing a variety of tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Serve gelato with precision, ensuring correct portioning and presentation.
• Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, including cappuccinos, lattes, and American coffee.
• Make crepes and fill cake molds according to cake orders and quality standards.
• Greet customers warmly, take orders, and answer questions about menu items.
• Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system accurately.
• Open the store in the morning, setting up for daily operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, serving, and dining areas.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks (wiping counters, washing dishes, sweeping floors).
• Maintain restroom cleanliness and restock as needed.
• Take out trash and recycling as needed.
• Assist with restocking and inventory management.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Participate in training and team meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be available for a full-time, non-seasonal position.
• Previous experience in food service, barista work, or customer service is a plus but not required (we provide training).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Working Conditions:

• Standing for extended periods.
• Lifting and carrying boxes
• Working in a busy, sometimes noisy environment.

Schedule & Pay:

• Available Saturday- Sunday, approximately 8 AM – 6 PM (some flexibility may be required).
• $20 per hour.
