Responsible for management of research projects including project development and implementation, regulatory submissions and adherence, project planning, project tracking and reporting, team management, monitoring of study finances, data collection and quality, and assisting in the creation of final reports and publications. Assists with the development and management of new projects.
Job Duties
- Implements and provides overall project management of research studies to meet project goals and milestones.
- Develops, implements, and manages study protocols, project plans and timelines, goals and milestones, regulatory submissions and adherence, project tracking and reporting, compliance and self-auditing plans, data collection and security procedures, quality control procedures, and team management.
- Actively monitors study finances to maintain project within budget and assist with suggesting corrective action when needed; develops new study budgets and contract request submissions.
- Manages grant applications and provides pre and post award study management.
- Promotes interdepartmental collaboration.
- Assists in hiring, training and overseeing project staff. Oversees Project Coordinator and Research Assistants in conducting and managing studies.
- Responsible for all regulatory documents and reporting requirements of studies.
- Ensures adherence to federal or other regulatory requirements and assists with self-audits of studies for regulatory compliance.
- Handles sensitive project issues and provides resolution.
- Communicates resource needs, issues, project status and milestones to project team, research investigators and key stakeholders; serves as key study point-of-contact to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contributes to preparation of research proposals, reports, and study manuscripts
- Relevant experience may be a combination of related work experience and/or Master's degree obtained (Master's Degree = 2 years relevant experience).
