Key Responsibilities
- Collecting blood specimens from patients of all ages
- Processing specimens for analysis
- Utilizing computer systems to register patients and facilitate billing
- Performing venipunctures and skin punctures according to Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines
The Clinical Phlebotomist will work in a clinical environment and be accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
A degree or certification in phlebotomy is required, along with at least one year of related experience. Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is highly valued.
