In this role, you'll review, analyze, and evaluate business processes and systems to ensure alignment with evolving business strategies. You’ll serve as the primary liaison between business unit managers, end users, and the IT department, facilitating effective communication and support. You’ll also evaluate proposals for new or enhanced processes and systems, assess feasibility, contribute to solution development for business initiatives, provide direct user support, and maintain accurate system documentation.
Essential Functions
- Review, analyze, and evaluate business processes and systems.
- Recommend enhancements and changes to existing processes and systems to align with evolving business strategies.
- Identify and advocate for opportunities to improve processes and systems.
- Serve as the primary interface between business unit managers, users, and the Information Technology Department.
- Ensure responsive and effective system support in alignment with established priorities.
- Review and evaluate proposals for new or enhanced processes and systems.
- Assess operational, functional, and technical feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Analyze requirements, investigate options, and assist in developing solutions for business‑sponsored initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the capabilities, operations, and technical architecture of application systems supporting Geiger business units.
- Provide direct user support through proficient use of available tools and an in‑depth understanding of underlying databases.
- Provide system training and user education in coordination with business unit leads.
- Develop and maintain systems documentation for supported applications.
- Support Help Desk requests as assigned.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Proficiency in systems analysis and project management practices.
- Understanding of business and information technology fundamentals.
- Equivalent to a two-year college degree in business or management.
- Minimum of one year of related experience.
Competencies/Skill
- Demonstrated proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
- Expertise in systems analysis practices and project management methodologies.
- Deliver comprehensive direct support for the information technology requirements of assigned Geiger constituencies, effectively resolving issues within the designated scope.
- Escalate unresolved issues, which exceed designated responsibilities, to the Director of Business Applications.
- Exhibit the capability to attain industry and continuous improvement certifications within established time frames.
- Collaborate effectively under general supervision, leveraging a fundamental understanding of both business and information technology.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer
- Typing and using a computer keyboard for extended periods.
- Answering phone calls and communicating with customers via email.
Mental Requirements:
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time paying close attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time effectively.
Environmental Requirements:
- Working indoors in a typical office environment
- Use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
- Interaction with team members and possibly occasional interactions with customers in person, via phone, or email.
Certification
- Attainment of industry certification at the CAS (Certified Advertising Specialist) level is required.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
- This role does not have any direct reports but will provide functional and technical support to system users of assigned business units.
