Role Description This full-time, on-site Licensed Insurance Agent role is based at the GEICO Local Office in Salt Lake City, UT. The agent will consult with prospective and existing customers to understand their insurance needs, provide personalized policy recommendations, and quote and bind auto and other personal lines insurance products. Daily responsibilities include handling inbound and outbound sales calls, following up on leads, explaining coverage options, and ensuring accurate documentation of policies and customer interactions. The role involves delivering high-quality customer service, processing policy changes, and assisting with billing and claims-related inquiries in coordination with GEICO systems and teams. The agent will work closely with office leadership to meet sales goals, comply with regulatory requirements, and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Insurance Sales and Insurance, with the ability to explain coverage options clearly and ethically.
- Experience in Insurance Brokerage or working with multiple insurance products, demonstrating knowledge of personal lines insurance.
- Basic understanding of Finance concepts related to premiums, deductibles, and policy pricing.
- Proven Customer Service skills, including active listening, problem-solving, and maintaining a professional, empathetic demeanor.
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license in Utah (or ability to obtain in a defined timeframe).
- Comfort using CRM and office software, with strong attention to detail and accurate data entry.
- Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven sales environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, finance, or a related field is beneficial.
