Position Overview
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant, Financial Accounting and Reporting will oversee general ledger accounting and reporting activities, including supporting the month-end close process, preparing financial reports for lenders and investors, and completing monthly account reconciliations.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports for distribution internally and externally.
- Support the annual audit process, including preparation of documentation and working directly with external auditors.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Perform background checks on new suppliers and customers to determine credit worthiness and assist in maintenance of supplier and customer directory.
- Help to implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Assist with tax and other compliance matters.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 2 years of related experience, manufacturing and/or public accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to work on-site in Germantown, WI at least three days a week.
