What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medication Aide position at Gefen Senior Care?
Assisted Living Facility is seeking a full-time Medication Aide who is dedicated, punctual, and reliable. Under the direct supervision of facilty nurse, Medication Aides distribute medications, accurately distribute prescribed medications to Residents at predetermined times and as related to their prescribed needs. Hedgewood Assisted Living Facility has been a staple in the Beacon, NY community for over 33 years.
We are searching for responsible staff to work with us to keep our residents healthy and well cared for. We offer comparable salaries, union and medical benefits after 90 days of employment. Responsibilities/Qualifications:
* Maintains Resident safety, confidentiality, and privacy while following established policies and procedures. This includes wearing PPE
(masks, gloves, safety goggles, etc.)
*High school/GED, previous healthcare experience/personal care experience preferred.
*Must be able to speak, read and write in English
* Must be physically able to prepare to stand for long periods, ambulate for 8 hours/day.
* Maintain clean work environment. This includes, but is not limited to cleaning appliances, work surfaces, and medication room area.
* Time management skills to appropriately meet Resident and Facility needs.
* Ability to work on your feet and in the standing position for an extended period as well as the ability to lift up to 50 Lbs.
* Flexibility in availability, and ability to work holidays and weekends when needed.
* Ability to adapt to change and work under pressure
