Automotive Buyer Job Responsibilities

• Identify and source pre-owned vehicles from various channels, including auctions, private sellers, trade-ins, and online platforms
• Conduct thorough inspections and evaluations of potential purchases to ensure they meet our quality standards
• Negotiate purchase prices with sellers to secure favorable deals for Tucson Subaru
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and vehicle details
• Stay up-to-date with market trends, vehicle values, and industry developments to make informed purchasing decisions
• Collaborate with the sales and service departments to ensure a seamless process for incoming inventory
• Build and maintain relationships with industry contacts to facilitate ongoing vehicle acquisitions

Qualifications

Automotive Buyer Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Car Buyer or in a similar automotive purchasing role
• Strong knowledge of vehicle makes, models, market values, and industry trends
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to perform thorough vehicle inspections
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Proficiency in using automotive industry software and online platforms for sourcing vehicles
