Job description:
Position Summary
Purchase components and tooling in accordance with Purchasing policies and procedures.
Essential Functions (Accountable for the following end results)
1. Prepare and send RFQ to supplier.
2. Review purchase requisitions, analyze cost, and generate purchase orders.
3. Work with cross-functional teams led by program management on production start up and design change implementation for new and existing production items.
4. Work with supplier base on price negotiations
5. Communicate with suppliers and internal departments.
6. General supplier visit and onboarding when needed.
7. Maintain and project a positive attitude.
8. Complete additional tasks and assignments given by Supervisor/Manager.
9. Consistent and regular attendance.
Competencies
Bachelors degree or high school diploma/GED and 3 years related experience
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to easily navigate computer programs
Experience in a fast-paced office/manufacturing environment
SAP knowledge strongly would be beneficial but not required
Applicants will be asked to demonstrate proof of these competencies

Work Environment, and Health and Safety
Requires the ability to sit, stand, or remain stationary for prolonged periods of time, move about short distances inside an office and plant setting to access file cabinets, office machinery, and conduct work on computer.
Occasionally lift items up to 20 pounds.
Compliance with all applicable government safety and environmental standards.
Ability to travel which may require overnight stays
